Our clients' and their pets' reactions are the most important feedback we can receive. Here are some post-training letters we received recently.

I'm sure you have all heard the story of Cinderella. You know, the beautiful girl with the two mean step-sisters, and wicked step-mother. Well you already know the ending, the beautiful girl marries the handsome prince, and they live happily ever after. Well, that was a fairy tale. This is a “real” Cinderella story.
Once upon a time, there lived a young boxer mix named Abby, who was found roaming the streets. She had already given birth to a litter of puppies, but their whereabouts were unknown. With her strong aggression to other dogs, the shelter considered her difficult to adopt. In this story, the two “step-sisters” were the founders of Lilo’s Promise, an animal rescue organization. Instead of being “mean”, they adopted Abby to give her another chance at life. They moved her to Clif Wyck Kennels in Marlton, NJ and enrolled her in basic obedience training with K-9 Basics.
When Abby first began training at K-9 Basics, she needed a muzzle. In the summer of 2007, my husband Noel (the “prince”) began volunteering for Lilo’s Promise, where he would walk and help train the dogs. That‘s how he met Abby and must have made the decision, unbeknownst to me (the “fairy God-Mother”), that she would join our family. In early October, what was supposed to be a one day outing, turned into Abby’s forever home.
This was my first dog and many were surprised at our choice to adopt her. I knew it would be a challenge, but I welcomed it. I was committed. Each day, little by little, I won her heart and she won mine. We trained extensively at K-9 Basics, until in mid-January 2008, we graduated together. What an accomplishment for both of us. A few months later, we all participated in a Retrieve Workshop at K-9 Basics, run by Robin McFarlane of “That’s My Dog”. &nb sp;Abby responded wonderfully and our leadership skills were strengthened. We often receive comments in class and in our neighborhood on how beautiful and well trained she is. No one can believe the fate she once faced.
Thank you to Lilo’s Promise and K-9 Basics, for your support, your direction, and your friendship. Our lives are forever changed.
… And they lived happily ever after.

Bella is a Lab/Shepard mix that we rescued from private owners. She was never walked, taken to the vet and was terrified of people. When we first got her she could be described in one word....Obnoxious! It was to the point that I wasn't sure that we would be able to keep her in our home.
Fortunately a friend told us about K9 Basics. What a transformation, she is a completely different dog. When I take her to the park I constantly get compliments and thanks on having such a well trained dog. Who would of thought people would thank me for training my own dog! Thank you to Brian & Lisa and all the staff at K9 basics for changing Bella's life.

WOW!!! What a remarkable change we have seen in our dog.
We adopted our dog “Jaz” from an animal shelter and she was a wonderful addition to our family. Soon it was obvious that she was in charge and we were not making any headway with her.
We used K-9 Basics “board & train” service and would recommend it to anyone. K-9 Basics has an immaculate training facility, friendly knowledgeable staff and loving concern for each dog under their care.
K-9 has given us a well mannered, sociable dog and we no longer fear her getting loose and running away.
Thank you for everything!

I am the owner of 2 graduates of the K9 Basics training. It is a great feeling to walk my dogs around Cooper River and know that they will be safe. I do not worry about them running off into the street. I guess that the Cherry Hill Police Department recognize my dogs because they drive by and wave. I am proud of my dogs success. I believe I did a great job training my dogs. I am thankful to the outstanding trainers who trained me and taught me how to get my dogs to listen so well. Just saying thanks to Nicole, Marissa, Pam, Caroline, Lisa and Brian are not enough. The staff takes the time to know each dog. Some times I think my dogs listen to Nichole more then me. If you see me at Cherry Hill, Freedom Park, or any of the other parks, feel free to come and say hi to my dogs. They would love to show you what they have learned. There are plenty of pictures of Bruno and Blake on the K9 Basics my space WEB Site. They are both graduates but they still love to interact with their other dog friends they have made.
I could go on but I will once again just say thanks guys for help making my dogs so great.

Thank you, K9 Basics. We sent our Golden Retriever, Sophie, to K9 Basics after experiencing a year of frustration. Sophie was not particularly motivated by food and didn't focus well, even without any distraction. It appeared to me, that she never quite knew what to do and didn't look to us for direction. She didn't even respond to her own name! After 10 days boarding and learning from you, she is focused on members of our family and seems to realize that we are there to communicate with her. She is no longer behaving like a wild animal and this has made her a happier pup. Our family is certainly happy to have her participating in our daily life, instead of disrupting it!! Even our Aussie likes her more! We have great plans for Sophie and don't doubt that she will reach her full potential as a freestyle dancer!!
This testimonial is in reference to the wonderful outcome of having my dog, Busta trained at the K-9 Basics training facility. I had my reservations at first, no way could they tame my boxer, no way could they get him to stop jumping all over people. Once I attended the first demonstration I was in awe, if my dog could come out of training acting as calm as the dogs in the demo I’d be thrilled. Two weeks later when picking up my dog, imagine my surprise to see this completely transformed animal. I was shocked at the difference in his behavior. I highly recommend anyone contemplating using this facility. The trainers are friendly and very open to answering any and all questions. I liked that I could call and check up on Busta, whenever I wanted. It’s a great facility and a wonderful program.

When I took my young german shepard Cody to you, she was a typical hyperactive lovable puppy, but she was very hard to control, partly because of her size and partly because she had very little formal training. After the 4 months of training, she has improved 100% and is very well behaved and listens extremly well. I would recommend K9 Basics training to any of my friends and it was well worth the money and the staff was very courteous.

Thank you guys SO MUCH for helping my puppy Caesar! Before he came to K9 Basics he was jumping on everyone, pulling my arm out of its socket on walks, destroying my house, and he owned my couches and bed. And after my husband was deployed, Caesar started barking uncontrollably at men, too.... more..

I was very impressed with what my dog, Cooper, learned at K9 Basics Board and Train program; And what I learned as well. Cooper is able to come most places with our family now for he listens to us so much better ( which I wish I could say for our 2 kids : ) ! ). Our family is much happier as a result of our training with K9 Basics. The staff has a true passion and love for the dogs which made it easier for me to leave Cooper under their care..And I was thoroughly impressed with their continual drive to learn about canine behavior and the best way to tap into your dogs true potential!!!

We owe at lot to K-9 Basics, for what they did for Murphy. They treated him like one of their own during his training. They are a group of experienced professionals and they treat your dog like it was their own. Murphy finally knows who the boss is. Thanks for the great experience.

Saying thank you just isn't enough. It's like you saved 2 lives! Max is doing just great. I promise to keep bringing him back to keep his new skills sharp. I am just so glad to have found you!

Synder was your typical dog. As a puppy she was ‘treat trained’ – so what we got was a dog that knew how to sit, lie down, and stay. The problem was that she would only follow these commands if you had a treat or if she ‘felt’ like it. I never could have imagined what Synder was capable of doing and it still amazes me everyday! We want to THANK everyone at K-9 Basics, you all are great and it shows that you really want the dogs and owners to succeed.
